Tech (Part
Time) 30*
(1) The candidates seeking admission to B.Tech.
Programme, must have passed a 3-year Diploma in
relevant branch of engineering of State Board of
Technical Education after Matriculation or any other
examination, recognized equivalent there to by
Birla
Institute
ofTechnology, Ranchi with a minimum aggregate of 55% (45% for
SC/ST candidates). (2) After passing the said examination, a
candidate must be in full-time employment, training or
apprenticeship in installation, operation and
maintenance or some other field work in an approved
engineering works/organization located in Allahabad
and contiguous industrial areas in
the relevant branch of engineering for a period of not less
than two years. (3) Candidates must produce a ‘No-objection
Certificate’ in the prescribed form from the employer. The
‘No-objection certificate’ issued by the
employer should be renewed
annually. (4)
Maximum age limit is 40 years as on 1st
October of the year of admission for this programme and is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST
candidates. 4. MCA
45 Candidates must hold a recognized
Bachelor’s degree (minimum 10+2+3) in any of the following:
(1) BCA (2) B.Sc. in Comp.
Sc./ Inf. Tech./ Electronics (3) B.Sc./ B.A. with Maths/ Stats at
graduate level. Candidates of B.Sc./B.A. Honours must have minimum 60% (45% for
SC/ST) marks in average in
Honours subject. Other candidates must have minimum 60% (45%
for SC/ST) marks in average in graduation, computed as average of marks
of ALL subjects in which appeared (excluding optional
subjects). Candidates graduating in 2009 can also apply,
provided they can submit marksheets by
learning
programmes are eligible only if they acquire such
qualifications as working professionals/ while in
employment.
* A minimum of 10 suitable candidates must
be available for running a particular programme. Selection Procedure: For BBA and BCA:
Admission to the courses will be only on merit determined by the
aggregate percentage marks obtained in the required subjects in Class 12/QE. Counselling
will be held at the Institute Campus, which is the applicant’s
choice for “Place for Study”. Candidates
who have appeared for Class 12/QE in 2009 can also apply. They must
produce Marksheet of QE at the time of Counselling, alongwith other

Application Form: for
B.Tech(PT) Prescribed
Application Form and Information Brochure is available at the
reception counter of the Institute at B 7 Industrial area
Naini as well as at its City Office located at 14 Tagore Town,
Allahabad on all working days between 10.00a.m to 3.00p.m on
payment of Rs.800/= by DD in favor of Birla Institute of
Technology payable at Allahabad. Last date for receiving
Application Form is
30-06-09. Candidates desirous of
obtaining Application Form by post may send their application
to Prof. I/C Admission, B.I.T. Extension Centre, B-7
Industrial Area, Naini, Allahabad along with DD of Rs. 850/=
in favor of Birla
Institute of Technology payable at Allahabad. Completed
Application Form should be sent to Prof. I/C Admission BIT
extension center B-7, Industrial Area Naini Allahabad on or
before the last date. Last date for receipt of completed Form
is 30-06-2007.

UG Information Brochure-A of 2009 with set of 3
application forms will be available on payment of Rs.500/- in
person, and Rs.600/- by post from our CAMPUSES at addresses
given below (all
payments should be only by crossed Demand Draft in favour of
Birla Institute of Technology, payable at
Ranchi). Postal requests must include letter
& two slips of paper (10 x 10 cm) with name, address and
phone number, with UG
A- 2009 written on the envelope. With each
Brochure candidates will find a set of three application forms

The
Institute observes statutory reservation in respect of SC, ST
and physically handicapped persons at all its centres in

Maximum
of 1% of seats in each programme may be allotted to sons and
daughters of defence and paramilitary personnel who have lost
their lives or been disabled in service 3.
Maximum
of 1% of seats in each programme may be allotted to Candidates
who are sportspersons and have represented their states at
National level sports competitions 4.
Upto
20% of the seats may be allotted to girl candidates

Upto
5 seats in each programme at the BIT Lalpur Campus and Upto 3
seats in each programme at the other BIT Campuses maybe
reserved for candidates who are sons and daughters of serving
employees of BIT, who otherwise have qualified for
admissions. However,
the final reservation proportion will depend on notification,
if any, issued by competent authority and as accepted by the
Institute. At
Lalpur 50% of the total seats are reserved for candidates who
have passed qualifying examination from Jharkhand and the
remaining 50% of the total seats are distributed in the rest
of the states. The domicile of a candidate for the purpose
shall be determined on the basis of place of passing his/her
qualifying examination (the location of his/her School).

Candidates should obtain our Undergraduate Information
Brochure and Application Forms to apply 2.
The prescribed application forms and Undergraduate Information
Brochure will be available across the counter from
3. To
receive the Undergraduate Information Brochure of 2009 and
form by post, send a crossed bank draft for Rs. 600/- in
favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at
Ranchi, along with two self-addressed slips of paper (10
cm x 10 cm) with your name and address clearly written in
block capitals and telephone number, and a letter mentioning
the course applied for to reach on or before 12 June 2009. Write UG A- 2009 on the
envelope 4.
With each Brochure, candidates will find a set of three
application forms (non-transferable). Based on their
eligibility, candidates may use each form to apply for one
programme at one Place for Study Candidates
must send an application fee of Rs. 250 with each completed
application form to their choice of place for study
for that programme by the date specified .
Each set of application forms has a Form Number,
which may be noted and cited in correspondence if required.
Candidates should keep photocopies of their completed forms
for their own reference 5.
Candidates should complete each application form neatly and
send in one of the envelopes provided, along with the
application fee of Rs 250/- by crossed Demand Draft,
photocopies of pass certificate of class 10 , Marksheet of
class 10 & class 12 and caste/Special category certificate
and one completed acknowledgement card, to Director of the Campus, which is
the choice of Place for Study by 23 June 2009
. Acknowledgement cards will be marked with a
Registration Number and sent back to candidates. The
application fee of Rs 250/- by crossed Demand Draft should be
made in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at
the location of Place for Study. Write your name, your
application form no. and course applied – BBA or BBA (Evening,
Noida) or BCA or B.Sc. (A&M) on the back of photocopies of
the documents. 6.
Candidates may use any one of the three application forms to
apply for only one of the above programmes at any one choice
of Place for Study. They may also use the second & third
application forms to apply for another programme following the
same procedure as described for the first one. It must be
carefully noted that one application form has to be used for
one programme only. The candidate must note that each
application form must accompanied by separate application fee
of Rs. 250/ - in the form Demand Draft as per instructions
already given in Point 5. For example, if a candidate applies
for three programmes, he/she has to send three demand drafts
of Rs. 250/- each as separate application fees for each
programme. The
three forms in a set have the same unique form number. They
are meant for the sole use of ONE candidate and are not
transferable under any conditions. When receiving your
Brochure you are advised to check that the two forms with your
Brochure have the same form number. If more than one candidate
submits forms from the same set having the same number, all
applications with this number will be
